- AMCNO releases statement warning the public of measles threat, as first case appears in Cuyahoga County.
- AMCNO is partnering with the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association (CMBA) on a Med-Legal networking happy hour May 22nd to discuss physicians' and patients' rights under the new Trump Administration Executive Order allowing Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to enter healthcare facilities. From Columbus
- AMCNO is supporting the Ohio State Medical Association (OSMA)'s health insurance reform bills, including SB 165 on downcoding. If you have had claims downcoded, they need to hear from you. They need examples of the type of claims you are having downcoded, and in general, what percentage of the time when you appeal the insurer then pays back to the initially billed level. - NEOMED's Doctor for a Day program on May 5 had Ohio State legislators spend the day as a medical student.
