- Ohio Department of Health Director Bruce Vanderhoff, MD, said last week at a press conference that influenza activity across the state continues to climb, urging Ohioans to get vaccinated as the best protection against severe illness.
- Natural kratom would be classified as an illegal Schedule I drug under rules approved by the Ohio Board of Pharmacy.
- The Ohio Suicide Prevention Foundation (OSPF), has been awarded an adult male suicide prevention grant from the Ohio Department of Health. Part of the grant includes providing free training on how to recognize a crisis and the warning signs that someone may be contemplating suicide. Additional information can be found here.
